Tragedy… Everywhere

Untill now, the epicenter of the earthquake, Won-chuan Province, had been isolated from nearby area. However, after 30 hours passed, the help finally reached them. However, among the 100 thousand residents, more than 60 thousand people are missing, and the survivors are in a really bad situation.

Due to the fact that the communication with that province was impossible, 100 rescuers arrived by parachute, and 800 soldiers arrived at the province by climbing mountains and etc. Except the 2 villages that got help, other 11 villages are still isolated. The Chinese Government started pouring foods and medicines to the province of Won-Chuan.

>>The Cyclone at Myanmar>>

Although more than 1500000 people got hurt by the Cyclone “Nargis”, the Myanmar Government is refusing the international aid by UNICEF, UN, and many other international organization. Even though the cyclone has caused many ydiseases among people, and even now, many people are dying, the Myanmar government is not doing some thing to help the survivors immediately.

UN warned Myanmar that a “Second Tragedy” will happen. if Myanmar keeps refusing the international aid.

Protesters in Korea – Anti US BEEF

Among the rising controversy about US beef, more than 7000 people living in seoul attended the Candle-light protest. The Internet Cafe, “Anti-US BEEF” held a candle light protest at the Chung-Gay Square. Before the protest even started, more than 5000 people arrived at Chung-Gay square, yelling “No US BEEF! No Mad Cow Disease!!!”.  Other than university students,, or civil organization members, there were a lot of civilians attending the protest.  Kim Bong Chul, who attended the protest with his son, said “I am worried that my son will eat mad cow disease- beef (US BEEF) through the school cafeteria. Another protester said “The government is trying to import US BEEF without a lot of preparation, giving the control of citizen’s health to the US.” Well, good luck, US BEEF!
